Connect WinningHunter to AI tools

WinningHunter has one MCP endpoint. Paste it into Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Gemini, n8n, Codex, Grok, Antigravity, Devin, or Le Chat.

https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp

If you run your own install, use your own domain with /mcp at the end.

Recommended: start with Claude. Its custom connector flow uses OAuth, so setup is usually the quickest.

Before you start

  1. MCP URL (https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp)
  2. One auth method:
    • OAuth (recommended for Claude custom connector)
    • API key header (X-API-Key: wh_...) for Cursor, n8n, Claude Code / Desktop JSON

OAuth discovery:

https://app.winninghunter.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server/mcp

Claude (custom connector)

Claude Code / Desktop (API key)

claude mcp add --transport http winninghunter \
  https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp \
  --header "X-API-Key: ${WH_API_KEY}"

Or JSON:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "winninghunter": {
      "url": "https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "X-API-Key": "wh_paste_your_api_key_here"
      }
    }
  }
}

Claude.ai web (OAuth)

  1. Open: https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector
  2. Click Add custom connector.
  3. Enter any name (for example WinningHunter).
  4. Paste MCP URL: https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp
  5. Click Add.
  6. Claude will start OAuth login and ask you to sign in to WinningHunter.
  7. Approve access, then return to Claude.

Done check: open a new chat and ask Claude to list available tools. You should see WinningHunter tools.

Cursor (3 steps)

  1. Open Cursor settings for MCP (or create .cursor/mcp.json in your project).
  2. Paste the same JSON as above.
  3. Save, then reload MCP (or restart Cursor).
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "winninghunter": {
      "url": "https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "X-API-Key": "wh_paste_your_api_key_here"
      }
    }
  }
}

Done check: ask Cursor to call or list WinningHunter MCP tools.

Cursor can continue using API-key headers. OAuth is optional there.

ChatGPT (OpenAI)

If your workspace has Apps + MCP enabled, do this:

  1. Open ChatGPT Settings.
  2. Go to Apps -> Advanced settings.
  3. Turn on Developer mode.
  4. Click Create an app.
  5. Set any app name (for example WinningHunter).
  6. Set MCP server URL to https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp.
  7. Click Create (or Connect, depending on UI).

If ChatGPT supports OAuth for your connector flow, use OAuth. If your screen supports custom headers instead, you can still use X-API-Key.

Gemini (Google)

If your Gemini account supports MCP connectors:

  1. Add an MCP server.
  2. Use URL https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp.
  3. Prefer OAuth when Gemini requests it. If header auth is available in your client, X-API-Key is also supported.

Gemini MCP docs: MCP servers with Gemini CLI

n8n

Use the MCP Client node (or MCP Client Tool node):

  1. Add MCP node in your workflow.
  2. Set server URL to https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp.
  3. Add header auth: X-API-Key = your wh_... key.

n8n docs: MCP Client

Codex (OpenAI)

Codex CLI, the desktop app, and the IDE extension share ~/.codex/config.toml.

  1. Install the Codex CLI and sign in.
  2. Run codex mcp add winninghunter --url https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp.
  3. Run codex mcp login winninghunter and approve WinningHunter.
  4. In a session, run /mcp and ask Codex to list WinningHunter tools.

API key instead of OAuth: set WH_API_KEY in your environment and add this to ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project):

[mcp_servers.winninghunter]
url = "https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp"

[mcp_servers.winninghunter.env_http_headers]
X-API-Key = "WH_API_KEY"

Grok (xAI)

  1. Open grok.com/connectors.
  2. Click New Connector, then Custom.
  3. Paste https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp and finish sign-in.

On Grok Business or Enterprise, a team admin adds the URL first: console.x.ai → Grok Business → Connectors → Other.

Antigravity IDE

  1. In the agent side panel, open … → MCP Servers.
  2. Click Manage MCP Servers, then View raw config.
  3. Add this server and save. Global file: ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json. One project: .agents/mcp_config.json.
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "winninghunter": {
      "serverUrl": "https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "X-API-Key": "wh_paste_your_api_key_here"
      }
    }
  }
}

What you get

You can query:

  • TikTok Shop products, shops, creators, videos, categories, trending
  • Meta ad library search
  • Brand tracker list, analysis, and tracking new Meta pages
  • Shopify store search and tracking new stores/domains
  • Exploding Topics search + detail
  • Credit balance checks

Most MCP tools are read-only. Write / generate tools: track_brand, track_store, save_ad, and get_ad_transcript.

TikTok favorites / filter presets still use the REST API (/api/v1/tiktok-shop/*).

Ads library tools (Meta/Pinterest/TikTok/Google ads search, ad transcripts, save_ad) additionally require the Standard plan on current packaging — Basic callers get upgrade_required / Standard required for ads library.

Credits and limits (simple version)

  • tools/call success = 1 API credit
  • tools/list and connection checks do not charge
  • Missing/invalid auth → MCP OAuth / JSON-RPC error (not always the REST { success: false, error: "Unauthorized" } envelope)
  • No API access → 403 with WinningHunter Basic plan or higher required for MCP access.
  • MCP tool rate limit is 300/min (separate from HTTP 60/min)
