Stores doing above 100k$/mo are accurate.
Stores doing less than 30k$/month are NOT accurate. These stores might show either 0 sales or a lot of sales. We recommend ignoring any store doing less than 30k$/month.
The sales tracker is to learn about big stores, 100k$/month and up. How to know if a store is big? 1. There should be traffic estimation data. 2. There can be trustpilot reviews. 3. Check if they run any ads.
Below we will explain how the sales tracker works (for big stores).
Sales are tracked in real time, not estimated. The sales data is more than 70%
accurate. Big stores with over 5,000 sales a day are capped at $1-2 million in revenue per month- so big stores like gymshark will say $1-2 million. Revenue might be less
accurate than sales count because the AOV (Average Order Value) can vary a lot. The sales
tracker isn’t linked to ads, ad spend, or traffic estimates, which you can also find in
WinningHunter.
Summary: Sales count is 70%+ accurate for stores doing 30k-1m$/month
with
some exceptions. Total revenue can be a bit less accurate.
Why Accuracy Varies:
- Getting the exact Average Order Value (AOV) data can be challenging due to factors like
discounts, promotions, and bundles, but the graphs remain reliable.
- For newer or smaller products, expect accuracy to improve after 1 to 1.5 weeks of
consistent sales.
How to use the Sales Tracker:
- The Sales Tracker is best used as an extra step to validate a store's potential.
- Use the sales tracker alongside other tools to validate a store, look at their active
ads & their traffic estimations too
Limitations for Small Stores:
- That the sales tracker tends to underestimate sales in general, so if it says for
example 100k$/mo, it’s usually a bit higher.
- Stores with less than 10 orders per day might show as having no sales or sometimes about 10-20k$/mo in sales. Please validate with traffic data which we also provide to know if the store is small.
- This is not an issue, as stores with such low order volumes are not ideal to copy or
analyze.
